Tiracol Fort
Once an armed fortress that belonged to the Portuguese, Fort Tiracol is now content to spend the rest of its days on a cliff enjoying the kaleidoscopic view of the Arabian Sea and the spectacular estuary of the Tiracol River. Tiracol Fort Heritage is run in the Tiracol Fort, which dates back to the 16th century, stands sentinel at the mouth of river Tiracol situated in the northern most corner of Goa.

Vengurla
Vengurla’s beaches — Vayangani, Sagareshwar, Mochemad, Sagarteerth, Shiroda-Velagar and Redi — lie in a line going south right down the coast of Maharashtra till they rub shoulders with Goa. The roads that lead to Vengurla’s main landmarks form a ‘T’, with the jetty and the lighthouse at one end, and the market at the other. The road to Sagareshwar and the stretch of Vengurla’s hidden beaches are all spread out within a 3-km radius.

Vijaydurg or Victory Fort
Sprawling over an area of 48 acres, Vijaydurg, fort of victory, was once seized by the British following a bloody battle. They renamed it Fort Augustus. A dilapidated board at the entrance of the fort relates its history.
